LIFE IS BRIEF
James 4:14 "Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morow. For what is your life: It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away."
Job 9:26 "Now my days are swifter than...an eagle that hasteth to the prey."
Life, at the longest, is very brief and it is for this reason preparation for eternity must be made TODAY.
DEATH IS SURE
Hebrews 9:27 "And it is appointed unto men once to die..."
Romans 5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned."
Death comes to everyone, and it comes when you least expect it. Age is no factor in death. In fact all of us are one heart beat away from death all of the time.
JUDGMENT IS CERTAIN
Romans 14:10c "...for we shall stand before the judgment seat of Christ."
Jude 14b, 15a "Behold the Lord cometh with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment upon all..."
Jesus Christ will be the judge of every person, and the most important thing at the judgment will be what you did with Jesus Christ on earth...Did you accept or reject Him?
ETERNITY IS LONG
For those who have received Jesus as Lord and Saviour:
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
For those who have rejected Jesus as Lord and Saviour:
Mark 3:29 "But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation."
CONCLUSION
Death will soon be a reality to each of us and the only thing that matters then, is what we did with Jesus Christ in this life.
Have you made preparation for heaven? If not, you are headed for hell. Man is an eternal being and will spend eternity in heaven or hell. It is for this reason that Jesus said in Matthew 16:26, "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for this soul?
PREPARE TO MEET GOD
A. Believe with all of your heart that Jesus Christ died to pay your sin debt. Acts 16:31, "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved."
B. Have faith in Jesus Christ to save you and repent of your sins. Acts 20:21, "Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ."
C. Invite Jesus into your life to be your Lord. Rev 3:20, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come into him and will dine with him and he with me."
PRAY THIS PRAYER
Dear God, I know that I have sinned and I am sorry for my sins. I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again. Forgive me of my sins and come into my heart and save me.
